How old were you when you first picked up a dart?

Used to throw darts at a tree on picknics with my parents at about 8 or 9 , first played superleague at age 14. |

Nicknames are a big feature of a dart player so how did you get yours?
Shayne Burgess
Bulldog, Phil Jones (the then PDC MC) named me the bulldog after my never give in attitude in my games on stage (or was it because I'm ugly with bow legs, can't remember).

How many hours do you practise throwing a day?

At the height of my form I used to play league 5 nights a week so never saw the need for seriouse practice.

What is your favourite venue and why?

Winter Gardens Blackpool, the venue was just made for darts.

Anybody human gets nervous before they play so how do you combat the nerves?

The more nervous the better when I played, I used to worry if i had no nerves.

Who is your favourite player, past or current?
Shayne Burgess
My favorite for pure natural talent was Jockey Wilson and Dave Lee my London County captain was an awesome player.

Get up and go to work as I no longer earn my main income from darts.

Your best darting memory?

Winning any of my main titles will always be with me but the British Gold Cup, Pacific Masters and first game for England stand out.

Losing in three televised finals to Phil Taylor really hurt, if it wasn't for him I would have won at least one if not all three, I hate you Phil it's official! (ha ha).
